Quotes From the Jet Blue Website
After a recent update, the Jet Blue Airlines website states, “Starting May 4, all customers are required to wear a face covering over their nose and mouth throughout their journey, including during check-in, boarding, while in flight and deplaning.”
The JetBlue website goes on to say, “JetBlue crew members have already been utilizing face coverings at work. CDC guidance defines a suitable face covering as an item of cloth that should fit snugly against the side of the face, be secured with ties or ear loops, include multiple layers of fabric and allow for unrestricted breathing.”
Jet Blue reminds passengers, “The CDC recommends surgical masks and N-95 respirators be reserved for healthcare workers and other medical first responders. Small children who are not able to maintain a face covering are exempt from this requirement. To learn more about face coverings visit the CDC’s website“
Remember to wear a mask. If you plan on taking a flight in the near future, Jet Blue Airlines requires that protective face masks be worn. In my opinion, it is a good idea to protect yourself and others whenever possible.
There are many washable, functional, and even fashionable masks to choose from. Once you have placed a mask on your face, be cautious not to touch the outside of it. Always wash your mask between uses. If your mask is disposable, toss it once you have removed it from your face. To learn more about face coverings visit the CDC’s website.
